Annual Leave and Holidays:

  • 27 days annual leave for full time employees (pro rata for those working part time).

Blue Light Card:

Our staff can expect to gain access to hundreds of discounts via the Blue Light Card scheme, just sign up with your given NHS email address to apply. (we also reimburse the cost for this after 3 months’ probation is completed – you can claim back via normal expense route).

Alongside Blue Light Card, NHS and healthcare workers have additional access to discounts across a wide variety of brands. It’s a fantastic way to save on products by using discount codes and promotions with numerous brands, both online and in-store. Please note, this website is not accessible via our network, so you’ll need to access it using your own devices and internet connection.

Employee Assistance line via VIVUP:

We provide access to VIVUP, a comprehensive employee wellbeing platform offering a range of support services, including confidential helplines for mental health, financial advice, and legal guidance. VIVUP’s services are designed to help staff manage life’s challenges with expert support whenever they need it.

VIP Awards:

The VIP Awards is an internal recognition program where anyone can nominate multiple colleagues who exemplify our vision and values by going above and beyond. Each winner receives a personalized certificate along with a £20 Love2shop gift card.

 

Hybrid working:

We support hybrid working to provide flexibility and a better work-life balance. This approach allows employees to combine time in the office with remote working, helping to increase productivity while accommodating individual needs and preferences. Only applicable to some roles that aren’t patient facing.

 

Free tea and coffee:  

Free tea and coffee will be offered in the kitchen areas of all Alliance Teaching Practices and the Electric Wharf head office.

Employees are entitled for a FREE eye test (reimbursed up to £30) and can claim back up to £45 towards the cost of corrective glasses that meets the DSE (Display Screen Equipment) requirements of the organisation. To be eligible for this benefit; the eye test claims form must be signed off by the Optometrists, line manager and yourself (which can be found at the bottom of the eye test policy). The eye test policy is available on PolicyStat.

 

Cycle to Work Scheme 

The Cycle to Work Scheme allows employees to get a bicycle and safety equipment and pay for it through monthly salary deductions. This can help spread the cost and may also offer tax savings.

Employees can apply through the organisation’s approved provider, Bike2Work Scheme Limited, via their website: https://www.bike2workscheme.co.uk. Once approved, employees will receive a voucher which can be used at participating retailers to obtain a bicycle and equipment. The maximum value available under the scheme is £1,000. Applications are subject to approval and checks to ensure pay remains above the legal minimum wage.

NHS fleet scheme: 

The Fleet Scheme allows employees to lease a car through monthly salary deductions. This helps spread the cost into fixed monthly payments.

Employees can apply through the organisation’s approved provider platform, where they can view available vehicles and submit an application. Once approved, the vehicle will be arranged through the provider. All applications are subject to approval and checks to ensure pay remains above the legal minimum wage.
